‘Loft’ is like an addictive essence of industrial architecture, culture and high-quality lifestyle. The term epitomises a free-spirited approach to living and life. Large interior spaces, four metre high ceilings with and without mezzanines, the facade usually an archaic mix of high-tech and clinker brick. ETICS with STRÖHER clinker brick slips in the sophisticated 380 x 52 mm long format epitomises both on the facade. What was once created in Manhattan in the 1920s by artists suffering from a lack of money - still under the contemptuous gaze of the so-called ‘upper class’ - quickly established itself as a style of living with that special something for the right purse. Disused industrial halls were lavishly renovated and used as a showcase for an entire neighbourhood - that's how it was in Manhattan and how it is today in an entire district of Vilnius. And it can also be felt in the Lithuanian capital: the pioneering spirit that loves luxury.

‘Loft’ is a philosophy of life, a certain attitude to living that not everyone is open to," says Loft Town architect Remigijus Bimba. That's why he and the ‘Fünf Kontinente Investmentgesellschaft’ have chosen a mix of residential features that are sure to sell: elegant flat, affordable studio or avant-garde loft living with its own lift directly to the garage. The façade, however, is kept uniform in an authentic brick look. The choice fell on two colours in brown and grey, each in the long format 380 x 52 mm, specially produced according to the architect's wishes. The opposite of stereotypical - polyfunction on an area of 4.5 ha: The transformation of an industrial area into high-quality residential, office and green space is being developed in several stages. Around 15,000 square metres of living and working space have already been transformed - little remains of the former ‘Kuro Aparatura’ fuel pump and injector factory. For the first time in Lithuania, a team of experienced specialists has carried out a task of this scale and lifestyle standard to breathe new life into an old industrial wasteland and transform unused structures into state-of-the-art infrastructure. And to integrate it into an entire city. An entire region benefits from this. Lina Stasiukynienė from the Penki Kontinentai investment group: "We are very pleased about the great popularity and the attention that we are attracting internationally with the “Loft Stadt Smart Buildings”. Because that is the greatest compliment for our Lithuanian version of modern, secure living." More: www.youtube.com/watch
