Emphasise sustainably.
We are constantly pushing the supposed limits of what is feasible and creating extraordinary architectural products made of clay in a resource-saving way that sustainably emphasise façades and floors, both indoors and outdoors.expressive clinker brick slips for thermally insulated façades, frost and application-resistant outdoor ceramics for balconies and terraces as well as contemporary lifestyle tiles for energy-efficient living. Ströher delivers ceramic and clinker performance that impresses in the long term. Not only in terms of design and visual impact, but also in terms of energy efficiency. For a sustainable facade and surface design.

Fascination made of clay. Made in Germany.
We combine our traditional manufacturing expertise with state-of-the-art clinker ceramic engineering and innovative surface technologies. This results in natural products fired in shape and format from a wide variety of compositions of over 50 quality clays, which we cut from a moist, mouldable clay column and sinter in a high-temperature firing process. It goes without saying that we use resources sparingly, sustainably and energy-efficiently. We rely on natural ingredients and reactions, which we use with flair and experience to develop unusual surfaces and fascinating natural colour spectra. For a high-quality and sustainable natural product.

Resource-saving and energy-efficient production
As an energy-intensive production company, we take responsibility for climate protection and the energy transition in Germany. We have therefore committed ourselves to ecologically compatible and sustainable production in our plants. Our tiles and clinker brick slips are manufactured exclusively in modern and efficient production facilities. High energy efficiency, the use of state-of-the-art exhaust gas purification systems for reduced emissions and the resource-conserving use of natural raw materials obtained close to production are integral components of our active environmental and production management.
Production residues that arise during the manufacturing process of our ceramics, such as firing and drying residues, glaze residues or water, are fully processed and returned to the production cycle as secondary raw materials. Waste heat from the firing process is used to dry the ceramics in the upstream production process. Throughout the company, we rely 100% on green electricity from alternative and renewable energy sources. A large proportion of this is generated by our own photovoltaic systems. Our active energy management is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001. Energy efficiency is therefore an integral part of investment decisions for the Ströher Group and a central evaluation and decision-making criterion in the procurement of raw materials, products, services or machinery and equipment. Since 2011, we have certified the sustainability of our products with the IBU seal of the Institut Bauen und Umwelt, an independent eco-label that stands for the highest possible neutrality and credibility. Our declared aim is to enable and promote sustainable construction. For the sustainable use of our resources. And for maximum energy efficiency in the manufacture of our products.
