More about frost resistance
The highly structured rear side of the coarse ceramic, which is extruded from moist clay, enables optimum interlocking properties with the substrate and therefore optimum mechanical adhesive tensile strength. In addition, a ‘weatherproof’ pore structure with breathable capillary channels and a dewatering, homogeneous particle structure is created in the ceramic body. This allows even the smallest amount of condensation to escape naturally. We call it the membrane effect.

For our ceramics, we rely on specially developed and resistant hard glazes based on highly refined mineral raw materials. This not only ensures greater slip resistance in wet conditions, but also consistent ease of use and maintenance.
Processing of outdoor coverings and stairs
Ceramic coverings in outdoor areas must be executed professionally in accordance with the following codes of practice and standards:
