Training with a future: Generating young talent takes top priority

Ströher welcomes three new members into its ‘corporate family’

Generating young talent is a top priority for the Ströher Group. The Dillenburg ceramics manufacturer therefore continuously invests in its own skilled workforce. Julia Pfeiffer, Philemon Knoche and Felix Beck represent three young people to have completed their training these past weeks. They are now continuing along the career path that they have successfully embarked upon with Ströher. At the moment, due to the current pandemic conditions, it is not possible for them to celebrate the successful completion of their exams. However, for the company archives, as well as for internal and external communications, the three have had their picture taken – of course, all fully ‘corona-compliant’ – with their trainers and Managing Director, Dirk Hümmer.

Julia Pfeiffer will work for the Ströher Group as a trained industrial ceramist, and Felix Beck, as an industrial mechanic, specialised in plant engineering. Meanwhile, Philemon Knoche will be active in providing the company with the knowledge and skills gained during his training as an electronics technician, specialising in industrial engineering.

"In their choice of training centre, our apprentices have laid the foundations for their future careers… their success in the exam shows that this decision was the right one", stated Dirk Hümmer. With great commitment, the three have worked on further developing their personal skills during their training, and the training company will also benefit from this eventually. Hümmer added that in addition to the professional skills that they possess, young people also bring a high degree of diversity to the corporate culture: "With new perspectives, our young employees in particular also provide valuable impetus for the development of our company, thereby securing our future. With a generous dose of idealism and youthful vigour, they help motivate the entire workforce." However, the successful completion of their training on no account means that the learning phase is over. According to Hümmer, flexibility and professional development are among the company’s most important factors of success. Finally, Hümmer thanked Julia Pfeiffer, Felix Beck and Philemon Knoche for continuing their chosen career paths as members of the ‘Ströher family‘.
